In order to express ire over huge cash, running in crores found in possession of a Congress MP, a number of senior leaders and workers of BJP burnt an effigy symbolising Congress’ corruption at Malviya Square, on Saturday. BJP leader said the Congress party’s governments have been the biggest reason for wreaking havoc on country’s economy for a long time. The fact that a Congress MP was found in possession of over Rs 210 crore in cash confirms the same. Party leaders said the nation has realised that the money received by Jharkhand MP Dheeraj Sahu is earned through corruption and it is the leaders of his own party who are involved. If top leaders of Congress are not involved, they should come forward and explain where this money came from. City President Prabhat Sahu, Rajya Sabha MP Sumitra Varmiki and others said that Congress and corruption are synonymous.

They recalled that prior to 2014, when the Congress Government was in power at the Centre, newspapers and channels were filled with daily reports of corruption. However, since the formation of BJP Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, no allegations of corruption have been made against any leader. But even today, Congress leaders’ names are surfacing in corruption cases. BJP leaders further mentioned another Congress MP, Mahua Moitra, who was expelled from the Parliament in a money laundering case involving more than Rs 200 crores, which exposes Congress’ deeds.
