Addressing the gathering at the ‘City Growth Conference’ organised here by the Nagpur First on Sunday, serial entrepreneur and Co-Founder at BabyVerse Shashikant Choudhary said Nagpur has immense potential to become a global city. “We have world class education institutions that are producing professionals and innovative people. Lot of invisible development is happening in and around the city which will take Nagpur to a new high,” he said while expressing his view at the IT Track, a part of the two-day 10th edition of Global Nagpur Summit. Choudhary, who was chief guest of the IT Track, further said that the city has recently started ‘walking’ on the path of growth in the field of information technology. “Things are now falling in right place for this sector and I am confident that the city will soon start ‘running’ on this path and it will become a hub of IT companies,” he said highlighting arrival of some of the multi-national companies in the region.

 

In his keynote address, Dr Ramesh Jain, Co-Founder and Board Member of Vicara Health, HealthUnity, and Personicle, USA and Director of Institute for Future Health, University of California, USA, said, health care system in India is not up to the mark. “But we can improve the system by way of using technology. Let us start health transform in Nagpur too,’ he said. Anshul Sonak, Global Director, Intel USA, another key note speaker of the IT Track urged the IT professionals not to just make use of artificial intelligence (AI) but also innovate ideas in the field.

 

The track also witnessed keynote speeches and panel discussions on Artificial Intelligence. Eminent speakers who shared their knowledge and expertise on AI included Prashant Mishra, CEO and Founder at Click2Cloud Inc., USA; Swayam Chouksey, Co-Founder and Technology Advisor, mindZcloud Group, USA; Vijaya Ganguly, NASSCOM, Regional Head – Western Region, India; and others. Earlier, Dr Rizwan Ahmed, CTO, delaPlex; gave introductory remarks while Shashank Rao, International Chair, gave wellcome address. A large number of IT professionals, entrepreneurs, students and others attended the IT Track.
