Newly-elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislative party leader Vishnu Deo Sai along with BJP State President Arun Sao and other BJP MLAs called on Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan on Sunday after Vishnu Deo Sai was elected the leader of the BJP legislative party leader in the meeting of the BJP legislative party held at state BJP party office Kushabhau Thakre Parisar in the state capital. Senior tribal BJP leader Vishnu Deo Sai presented his claim before the Governor to form the BJP government in Chhattisgarh.
The Governor accepting the claim of the majority party appointed Vishnu Deo Sai as new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh under the Article 164 of the Indian Constitution. The Governor also invited him for swearing-in-ceremony of new chief minister and cabinet ministers. The Raj Bhavan Secretariat has now started preparations for the swearing-in-ceremony of the new chief minister and cabinet ministers. Vishnu Deo Sai became the fourth chief minister of Chhattisgarh. The swearing-in-ceremony is likely to be held at Science College Ground in the state capital on December 13. Three BJP observers Union Ministers Arjun Munda and Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam, BJP Chhattisgarh In-charge Om Mathur, Union Minister and Chhattisgarh In-charge Mansukh Laxmanbhai Mandaviya and others were present.
