MLA Ashok Rohani met Lieutenant General M K Das, GOC Madhya Bharat area in his office held detailed discussion on construction of road from Gora Bazaar to Bhongadwar and other issues. During discussion Rohani informed that under the Cantt. Assembly constituency, the road from Gora Bazaar to Bhongadwar is in extremely deteriorated condition. The road houses military institutions, a military school and serves as the route for children from government schools. He said since the road falls under the jurisdiction of the military administration, with the approval provided by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, it should be authorized for construction.

 

Likewise, the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA also discussed the issue related to eviction. He said notice of eviction is being issued by the military administration in Ward Number 1, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar Basti. He said the move should be immediately halted. Regarding both of the aforementioned issues, Lieutenant General Das showed a positive approach and said as soon as the approval is granted from the Central Command for the road in Gora Bazaar to Bhongadwar, the work will commence. Currently, efforts are being made to make the road passable by patchwork. Similarly, he assured that there will be no eviction in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar Basti by the military administration. Station Commander Jabalpur, Rahul Gohad, and former Corporator Sundar Agarwal were also present on the occasion.
