The Bharatiya Janata Party Legislative party leader, Mohan Yadav will take oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP leaders. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 11.30 am at sprawling Motilal Nehru Stadium, Bhopal. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J P Nadda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also attend the swearing-in ceremony. Along with Mohan Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister designate Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda will also take oath. PM Modi will arrive in Bhopal at 11 am. A day before the event, BJP State President and MP V D Sharma and State Organisation Secretary Hitanand Sharma visited the venue. Arrangements were in full swing for the mega function. Security arrangements beefed up in and around the oath taking venue.
 
A senior leader who is familiar with the developments told ‘The Hitavada’ that composition of the new Cabinet will also be discussed in a meeting on the sidelines of the function. The 58-year-old, Mohan Yadav was picked as the new State Chief Minister by the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday. Former Union Minister and MLA Narendra Singh Tomar has been named as the new Assembly Speaker. Outgoing Finance Minister and two-time MLA Jagdish Devda from Mandsaur and outgoing Public Relations Minister MLA Rajendra Shukla from Rewa have been elected as deputy Chief Ministers. After being nominated as the leader of BJP Legislative Party, Dr Mohan Yadav reached Raj Bhavan and met Governor Mangubhai Patel. He staked a claim to form the government. He was named as the leader of BJP legislative party at the meeting held at the BJP headquarters in Bhopal.
 
Box Once again CM designate Yadav expresses gratitude to central leadership: “The party won the love and faith of 8.5 crore people. We are thankful to all of them for being chosen as their leader. The way the BJP is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will take the caravan of development forward under his leadership,” said CM designate Mohan Yadav talking to the media. He also mentioned a double engine government saying “We will take forward a double engine government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi leadership. I will take forward the welfare programmes and development works initiated by former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. This is the character of BJP. It has given such a big opportunity and responsibility to a small worker like me.” After the announcement of Yadav’s name for this post, security has been beefed up at Bhopal situated at Vindhya Kothi and his Ujjain residence. Pradesh Congress Chief Kamal Nath congratulated CM designate Yadav: Pradesh Congress chief, Kamal Nath met Chief Minister designate Mohan Yadav. Nath said that “our party will contribute to the development of Madhya Pradesh and by being in opposition, we will protect the rights of the people.”
