IN a unique record, Chhattisgarh’s Dr Vishwanath Panigrahi has entered the Golden Book of World Record for longest service, serving four generation of same family for 55 years at Bagbahra in Mahasamund district. In addition to the long list of numerous achievements, Dr Vishwanath Panigrahi has set a world record by working with the four generations of the same company for the longest period of 55 years in the world. The name of Dr Vishwanath Panigrahi has entered in the Golden Book of World Records for the longest service. Dr Panigrahi has been working in the firm Chakubhai Ghelabhai & Sons located at Bagbahra in Mahasamund district for 55 years. In recognition to the longest period of service connected with four generations, Asia Head of Golden Book of World Records Manish Vishnoi honoured him by presenting a certificate and medal. Manish Vishnoi expressed gratitude to company owners Kishanlal Amarasibhai, Vijaybhai, Bhaveshbhai and Devansh Bhai for the long association with Dr Panigrahi. Feeling happy and proud, Dr Vishwanath Panigrahi said that as a teenager at the age of 16, he started service in the firm dealing in tendu leaf Chakubhai Ghelabhai & Sons on August 14, 1968, and since then he has completed 55 years of service.
 
Having completed 72 years of age, he services still continues with the fourth generation, with same hard work, dedication, loyalty and honesty. It is worth mentioning that Dr Panigrahi is such a well-known person with a long list of success and honors. He is Founder and President of Green Care Society India. He has been honoured with many awards at the regional, state, national and international level for his contributions in environmental protection, global warming, climate change, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 1-17, plantation, cleanliness, Literate India, health, polio, leprosy, tuberculosis prevention, blood donation, social service, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Corona Yoddha, biodiversity conservation, voter awareness and other public welfare works.
 
Dr Panigrahi has also received the Chhattisgarh Governor’s Award for outstanding service to the Indian Red Cross Society. Due to his leading role, dedication and innovation in the campaign to make India Open Defecation Free and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, he has honoured with ODF Man, District Navratna, Clean & Green Ambassador and Swachhta Champion titles. Dr Panigrahi also got an opportunity ti interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mann Ki Baat radio episode. Recently, he was honoured with the Indo Malaysia Friendship Award in Malaysia.
