Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin arrives in city to grand welcome by Dawoodi Bohra community

His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, 53rd Head of Bohra community, arrived to a grand welcome at city on his tour of Vidarbha Region. The local community members were overjoyed as Syedna’s visit comes after a long gap. He is going to be State’s guest in the region. Syedna flew here from Goa. On arrival at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Sonegaon, Syedna was warmly received by Janab Taha Bhai Saheb Hakimuddin; Najmuddin Bhai Fidvi, Secretary of Nagpur Jamat; Shabbir Husain Saifee Amil Sahab; Zainuddin fida Husain Khambati Amil Sahab; Siraj Bhai Jariwala; Hatim Bhai Dhamangaonwala and senior members of the community. After leading afternoon prayers in Nagpur, Syedna left for Amravati by road. During the tour of Vidarbha region, Syedna is expected to meet with community members in Murtizapur, Akola, Washim, Hingoli, Wardha, and Chandrapur. During these visits to towns and cities, Syedna will deliver sermons, counsel community members on following a righteous path, and look into their socio-economic and cultural affairs.
Expressing his joy on Syedna’s visit to the city, Taiyeb Arif, Media Co-ordinator said Dawoodi Bohra community was delighted to welcome His Holiness to the Orange City. Syedna’s visit comes after a period of seven-years and is a momentous occasion for community in the region, and they look forward to invaluable guidance and wisdom that former will share through sermons and interactions with community members. Arif also thanked Maharashtra Government and local authorities for their continued support and co-operation in facilitating all the necessary arrangements to host Syedna and community members in the region.
After visiting the Vidarbha region, Syedna is expected to return to Nagpur for a few days during which time he will deliver a sermon at Badri Masjid, grace the community’s Business Trade Fair and inaugurate the newly built community kitchen, also known as Faizul Mawaid al Burhaniyah. Approximately 6500 Dawoodi Bohras call Nagpur home, with the majority of them residing in Itwari, Shanti Nagar, Mangalwari, Sadar, and Jaffer Nagar areas. The city has five Bohra Masjids and a state-of- the-art school, MSB Educational Institute. A significant portion of community members in the city are entrepreneurs and businessmen involved in various sectors such as hardware and construction materials, trading, manufacturing, IT and construction sectors.
