Shri Ram Rath Yatra begins

A grand Shri Ram Rath Yatra was inaugurated in presence of senior saints and religious gurus to mark the Pranpratishthan of lord Ram at newly construction Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, on Wednesday. The religious procession was inaugurated under the supervision of Jagatguru Swami Raghav Devacharya from Manas Bhawan auditorium. Ram Rath Yatra was inaugurated amidst chanting of ritual rhymes by Batuks of Maharshi Maheshyogi Institute and Ganesh Vandana. Senior religious gurus and saints performed worship of Ram Darbar and flagged off the chariot. The religious event is being organised with an aim to develop a healthy religious environment and encouraging the followers of Sanatan Dharm to celebrate the historic occasion of Pranpratishthan of lord Ram in newly constructed temple as Maha Diwali, on January 22, 2024.
On the occasion, residents were appealed to lit 11 earthen lamps at their home on January 22 to spread the message of Sanatan Dharma throughout the world. During the programme, Sami Didi Gyaneshwari, Swami Kalikanand Maharaj, Swami Paglanand Maharaj, Swami Chaitanyananad Maharaj, Swami Narsingh Das Maharaj and Dr Harishankar Dubey delivered religious discourses while Rath Yatra Convenor Ravikaran Sahu detailed about the significance of religious procession.
On the occasion, Dr Pawan Sthapak informed about the significance of Vishwa Hindu Parishad in the long and massive campaign of constructing a grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The programme was convened by Dr Akhilesh Gumasta while a large numbers of college students and residents were present. MLA, Abhilash Pandey, JMC Chairperson, Rikunj Vij, Rajesh Sthapak, Nilesh Rawat, Nikhil Tiwari, Rina Sahu and other eminent residents attended the programme. The religious procession will pass through rural areas of the district and will conclude at MLB Ground with a grand programme, on January 18.
