On Friday, one person lost his life from infection of coronavirus in Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital and Research Centre in Durg. The deceased person was Hanuman Singh (81 years) and a resident of Adarsh Nagar Camp-1, Bhilainagar. He was diagnosed with DM (Type 2) Bilateral Pneumonia and found infection of COVID-19 in Antigen Test. On the other hand, the health authorities of Durg District Health Department denied the death of women in District Government Hospital by this coronavirus infection.
 
The health department of Durg district stated that woman lost her life from high blood sugar as well as hypertension. On Friday, 1 patient was detected from coronavirus and now, Durg district has 14 cases of coronavirus and of them, 1 patient is undergoing treatment at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital and Research Centre, Bhilainagar. The remaining 13 patients are in home isolation and take medication from doctors.
 
Dr J P Meshram, Chief Medical and Health Officer of district said that the health department has formed a team of Dr C B S Banjare, District Surveillance Officer, Dr Piyam Singh, Block Level Medical Officer, Ritika Sonwani and Tushar Verma who have directed to look out the matter. They have also started to visit hospitals, health centers and private hospitals to see the condition of coronavirus disease and its situation. Dr Meshram suggested people to avoid go outside and prefer to wear masks. Senior citizens, people with hypertension, high blood sugar and asthma, children and pregnant women should avoid to go outside. With symptoms of cold, cough and viral fever, people should visit the nearby health centers and do the necessary tests.
