Digitalisation of retail trade being done, at a fast pace: CAIT National Gen Secy

“Digitalisation of existing format of retail trade is being done at a fast pace and besides having their physical shop, traders are now more inclined to go online and as such they are finding social commerce as one friendly module which establishes a direct contact with consumers and hence, social commerce enjoys robust growth in India,” said National General Secretary, Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), Praveen Khandelwal. National General Secretary, CAIT, Khandelwal visited Jabalpur along with State President Bhupendra Jain on Thursday to inaugurate certified Training Programme of META, which tied up with CAIT as a technology partner to open social commerce for the trading community in an effective manner. The training was conducted to promote optimum usage of WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram for selling products to consumers directly.
MP President, CAIT, Jain said that the partnership of CAIT and META will help traders and businesses build a more comprehensive customer base, scale their business and contribute even further to India’s growing digital economy.
A total of 380 candidates from all walks of life, registered themselves to participate in the training which was imparted by META trainers Neha Bajaj and Zaid Siddiqui. Along with training, National and State-level office-bearers of CAIT also attended oath-taking ceremony of newly announced executive body of CAIT Jabalpur and offered pledge among the newly appointed office-bearers.
The executive body of Jabalpur chapter include Rohit Khatwani as District President, Manu Sharat Tiwari as District Secretary and Rahul Bardia as Treasurer, respectively. The ceremony was also attended by State Senior Vice-President, Sandesh Jain, State Vice-president, Jitendra Pachouri, State Secretary, Deepak Seti, State Executive Member, Women Wing, Seema Singh, Nikhil Pahwa, Ashish Kothari, Kamal Grover, Rajesh Nandwani and others.
