A delegation of Vidarbha Taxpayers' Association (VTA) led by its President Shrawan Kumar Malu welcomed Yeshwant U Chavan, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Gujarat, who is also allotted an additional charge of Principal Director General of Training at National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT) Nagpur. Shrawan Kumar Malu appreciated the faceless assessment procedure of the department which has made the assessment process more efficient. It has genuinely helped in reducing human contact, thereby curbing chances of corruption. Chavan made the delegation aware that like GST collections, even the Direct Tax collection is growing, which shows the economic growth of the country.
