RAIPUR,
Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) President Mohan Markam has demanded the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government at the Centre to fulfill all pending demands in the 9th Budget to be presented in Lok Sabha on Wednesday. In his statement, Markam said that Central Government had made four major promises to the people of the country during the 2014 elections, first to reduce inflation in 100 days, second to provide employment to 2 crore youth every year, and third to double the income of farmers by 2022 and fourthly to bring black money from abroad and deposit 15 lakh in each account.
The BJP Government at the Centre, which is completing its second term, do not fulfil promises now, then when will these promises be fulfilled. The Central Government should make financial provisions in the General Budget to fulfil its promises, he added.
Markam said that Chhattisgarh is a producing state. Minerals like coal, iron ore, bauxite are abundant in the State and these mineral are exploited by the Central Government and its undertakings. It is also a leading state in steel and cement production. Chhattisgarh has an important role in the collection of direct tax. But Chhattisgarh is being continuously neglected in central schemes in the BJP regime, he added.
