DEVELOPMENT work has come to a complete standstill and Naxal incidents have also increased ever since the Congress Government came to power in State, asserted Bharatiya Janata Party National President J P Nadda, while addressing a massive gathering at Lal Bagh Maidan. Nadda was on a day-long visit to Jagdalpur on Saturday.
Nadda further said that after the Congress came to power in State, corruption has got deep rooted in the system. Many scams have also been reported under this regime and many more will get unearthed. Expressing grief over the killing of BJP leader Sagar Sahu by Naxals, Nadda commented that incidents of Naxal violence have increased under the Congress rule and this shows the governance of the Baghel-led Congress Government. Nadda expressed condolences to the BJP leaders killed in Narayanpur, Awapalli and Tokapal, and said that the family members of the deceased leaders are not alone in this battle against Naxalism. He further said that during the Dr Raman Singh Government there was peace and development but now in the four years of this government people are feeling cheated. He asserted that the name of Congress itself is deception.
Delaying and distraction are the policies of the congress. Praising the works of the Modi government, Nadda said that the Modi government wants to provide houses to the needy, but Bhupesh Baghel is putting up obstacles in getting the dreams of the people to own a house fulfilled. Under Prime Minister Modi, India has become the third largest economy in the world because of the development oriented policies of the Modi government. During the corona period, when the world was going through a period of economic recession, Prime Minister Modi handled the country's economy well and it was well appreciated by the global leaders. It may be mentioned that partially altering his scheduled programme, Nadda reached Jagdalpur by helicopter instead of a special plane. Due to the murder of BJP District Vice-President in Narayanpur, BJP cancelled the welcome program of Nadda and he reached Mata Danteshwari temple at Rajwada directly from Danteshwari Airport. After that he took a meeting of the core committee at BJP’s divisional office and met party workers. After that, Nadda reached Lalbagh to address the general meeting. Before this, former Chief Minister Raman Singh, while addressing the gathering, fiercely attacked the Congress government and blamed Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for stalling development in Chhattisgarh. He said that work of house under PM Awas Yojana could not materialise in State because of the ill conceived and irrational policies of Bhupesh Baghel government. Dr Raman Singh said that if BJP comes to power in the state 16 lakh houses will be constructed for the needy under PM Awas Yojana.
