NAGPUR Cricket Academy defeated National Cricket Club to clinch the PHCA Cup -2023 which was organised in the memory of Appasaheb Kulkarni at Pandav College Ground. In the final, NCA defeated NCC by 91 runs to grab the title. Batting first, NCA posted 208 runs for eight wickets in 50 overs. Saras Nerkar (52) and Sanskar Gaur (48) were the top run getters for NCA. For NCC, Abu Sufiyan took three wickets for 41 runs while Amaan Hussain chipped in with two wickets.

In reply, NCC managed to post 117 runs. Naveen Mishra scored 38 while Amman Hussain added 26 runs.

For the winners, Sanskar Gaur took three wickets for just seven runs. Vikalp Tiwari too took three for 24 runs.

Individual awards: Best Batsman: Aman Yadav (467 runs). Best Bowler: Yash Hale (19 wkts). Man of the Tournament: Daksh Yadav (448 runs and 11 wkts). The prize distribution function was graced by Vidarbha cricketer Komal Zanzad, who will be playing in Women’s Premier League for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Sanjay Badkas, Secretary, VCA was the guest of honour. Prathamesh Hinganikar, Sudhir Wankhede, Kishor Keche, Akash Kitukale and others were also present on the occasion.
