GADCHIROLI district won the overall championship trophy in the Divisional Sports and Cultural Meet that concluded on Monday. Gadchiroli won cricket, kabaddi (men and women), volleyball, kho-kho and throwball (both women) titles. Though Nagpur were the best in football, march-past and cultural events, they finished third behind Chandrapur in team championship. The three-day event, over 1200 participants took part in 81 sporting events. In the concluding function Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B, Nagpur Collector Dr Vipin Itankar, Bhandara Collector YogeshKumbhejkar, BhandaraCollector Chinmay Gotmare,Wardha Collector RahulKardile, Chandrapur CollectorVinay Gowda, GadchiroliCollector Sanjay Meena,Additional Collector AshaPathan, Resident DeputyCollector Vijaya Bankar andother officials were prominently present.
