Grand temple of Sant Ravidas worth Rs 100 crore will be built at Badtuma: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that a huge and grand temple of Sant Ravidas would be built at Badtuma near Sagar at a cost of Rs 100 crore. Couplets and teachings of Sant Ravidas will be engraved on the walls of the temple. The personality and work of Sant Ravidas will also be displayed in the temple premises. The Chief Minister said that the vision of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj’s ideal state has been realised in Madhya Pradesh. Sant Ravidas had said that “Aisa chahu raj main, jahan mile saban ko ann, chhote-bado sab sam base, Ravidas rahe prasann” (I want such a rule, where everyone gets food, small and big all live together, everyone remains happy.) We are walking on the same path shown by him. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh will touch the heights of development with the co-operation of the people and with the blessings of the saints. Chief Minister Chouhan attended Sant Ravidas Mahakumbh at Sagar on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the sisters and daughters are highly respected in the State. No distinction is made between men and women. After Ladli Laxmi Yojana for daughters, now Ladli Bahna Yojana has been launched for sisters, in which Rs 1,000 will be given to poor and middle class sisters. Food, education, medicine, house, employment are being ensured for everyone in the state. There is no caste distinction in the State, no one is big or small, everyone is equal, everyone has equal opportunity and everyone is respected equally.
Chief Minister Chouhan performed bhoomipujan of Shahgarh-Banda group water supply scheme costing Rs 251.25 crore. He launched the Kalash Yatra by presenting Kalash to the sarpanchs. Chief Minister Chouhan also inaugurated and had a look at the exhibition focused on Sant Ravidas and One District-One Product at the venue.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that to ensure housing for all in the rural and urban areas of the State, residential leases are being given to the poor. Under the Mukhya Mantri Awasiya Bhu-Adhikar Yojana, 10 thousand 800 pattas have been given in Tikamgarh district and 12 thousand in Sagar district. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the poor have the facility of treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in a year in private hospitals. During the COVID period, free vaccine was given to the public. The Government is now paying the fees for higher education in the state. Medical and engineering studies have been started in Hindi. Rs 3,900 are given to the girl students for the cycle to go to school. Chief Minister Chouhan announced to increase the annual income limit of the family from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh for the scholarship of scheduled caste students. Chief Minister Chouhan said that under the Mukhya Mantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana, a pilgrimage train will go from Madhya Pradesh to Banaras, the birthplace of Sant Ravidas. He announced that 20 per cent of the land would be reserved for SC and ST youth to set-up industries. In the MSME cluster policy, a cluster will be given to the SC industrialists. Along with this, land will be given to SC category for setting-up allotted petrol pumps. Nodal officers will be appointed in the Industries Department to guide the SC category. Relaxation will also be given in the store purchase rule in the service and trading centre. Chief Minister Chouhan said that to ensure the safety of sanitation workers, now the manholes will be cleaned with only machines. Former Union Minister Dr Satyanarayan Jatia said that the launching of Sant Ravidas Mahakumbh is a good start by the Madhya Pradesh Government. A new atmosphere has been created for the uplift of the society in the State, which will lead the State and the country towards development. Member of Parliament V D Sharma said that with the constant efforts of Chief Minister Chouhan, an egalitarian society based on social harmony is being developed in Madhya Pradesh. Sant Ravidas Mahakumbh is a powerful effort in this connection. The State has a polity in accordance with the concept of Sant Ravidas. National President of SC Morcha Lal Singh Arya said that all-round efforts are being made for the uplift of Scheduled Castes under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. SCs have been given adequate representation and responsibility of important departments in the State Cabinet. Chouhan had made a glorious beginning of the celebration of Sant Ravidas Mahakumbh, which is continuing. Along with the welfare of all classes, he has also launched many schemes for the welfare of SCs. Special emphasis is being laid on the education and employment of the category.
Chouhan performed kanya pujan and offered floral tributes to the statue of Sant Ravidas. The local women thanked and felicitated the Chief Minister for starting the Ladli Behna Yojana. The welcome speech was given by MLA Pradeep Lairiya. Tribal Affairs, Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Meena Singh proposed a vote of thanks.
