During his recent visit to the city, Chairman MahaRERA Ajoy Mehta met the office-bearers of CREDAI Nagpur Metro and praised them for their various initiatives. He appreciated the CREDAI for working for benefit of members and customers. He said that currently 49,000 projects are registered under MahaRERA in Maharashtra out of which more than 5,000 projects are lapsed. MahaRERA is taking all the measures to bring back these projects for completion so that customers don’t face monetary loss. MahaRERA is working for the development, promotion and regulation of real estate sector. The association requested the visiting officer to empower Nagpur RERA office so that it could work for the Vidarbha region builders.
This will also help for faster registration of projects. Along with this CREDAI Nagpur Metro has discussed other issues which builders are facing; for which Mehta assured to take positive steps at the earliest. For the clarification of members, the association urged Mehta to issue clarification on exclusion of open or enclosed balcony in carpet area as defined and clarified by RERA. It was pointed that presently carpet area as per BPMS includes enclosed balcony in carpet area; which is contradictory with the definition given by RERA. Also present on the occasion were Mahesh Pathak, Member MahaRERA, Deputy Secretary, MahaRERA Nagpur Office Sanjay Bhimanwar, President CREDAI Nagpur Metro Vijay Dargan; Secretary Gaurav Agarwala, Senior members Santdas Chawla, Prashant Sarode and others.
