Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the holy festival of Navratri is the festival of worship of Shakti. Madhya Pradesh and Bhopal are fortunate that we have got the opportunity to worship Shakti through the ‘Fauji Mela’ and arms exhibition during Navratri. He said, “I am thankful to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the Union Government for organising the Fauji Mela in Bhopal. The Chief Minister said that India has a known history of thousands of years. Our valour has also been established for thousands of years. India’s thoughts, values and culture have given guidance and shown direction to the world. If we are powerless then no one listens to us. The Indian Army is one of the most capable forces in the world. Our jawans are protecting Bharat Mata by living in the most difficult conditions. As a result of the sacrifice and penance of the army, we are able to celebrate festivals. I salute the bravery, courage and valour of our wonderful Army. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing after inaugurating the military fair and arms exhibition in the grounds of Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya, Bhopal.
Commanding in Chief Northern Army Command Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi and senior officers of the three services were present. Chief Minister Chouhan inaugurated the military fair by cutting the ribbon and releasing balloons. Chief Minister Chouhan was presented a memento of Fauji Mela-2023. Bhopal’s Shaurya Smarak has been built in the memory of 30,000 soldiers who were martyred after independence. Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is a matter of good fortune that the Commanders’ Conference of all the three forces is going to be held in Bhopal from March 30 to April 1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and senior most officers of the three services will participate in it. He said that our Army is dedicated to the victory of religion. Prime Minister Modi has a clear message that we will not tease anyone from our side, if someone teases us, we will not spare him. When Pakistan dared in 1965 and 1971, our forces taught them a befitting lesson.
Even in the Kargil war and the surgical strike, our soldiers destroyed the intentions of the enemy. The Indian Army has also made it clear to China that India is not less than anyone. Even after independence, 30,000 soldiers have given martyrdom. In his memory, we have built the Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal. India is becoming self-sufficient in arms under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. There are many such weapons in the military fair too, which have been made indigenously. State Government dedicated to the honour of martyrs: Chief Minister Chouhan said that our soldiers have protected the country by making the supreme sacrifice. Not only war, our Army has also been sensitively active in providing assistance to disaster affected areas. In the disaster in Turkey, the Indian Army was the first to reach and start the relief work.
