West Central Railway is all set to boast off Vande Bharat Express to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 1. The train will be available for general public from April 2. The first rack of Vande Bharat Express train has been already reached to Bhopal for running between New Delhi-Rani Kamalapati stations. Officials of West Central Railway (WCR) have made all the preparations to start the country’s latest high speed train. Railway Board had already released the running schedule of proposed train.
From April 2, the train will be departing Rani Kamalapati Railway Station at 5:55 hours and arriving New Delhi at 1:45 hours. In return, the train will be departing New Delhi at 2:45 hours and arriving Bhopal at 10:35 hours. The train will be taking only five minute halt at Agra station. People will be reaching New Delhi (708 km) in 7:45 hours.
Maximum speed of Vande Bharat train is 160 kmph but due to technical reasons, the train is being run for 130 kmph. Even Shatabdi Express train can run for 120 kmph but due to technical reasons, the train is running in India for 80 to 100 kmph only.
Coaches of this train are made at ICF factory, Chennai. Officials said that it takes 24 hour working to prepare a 16 coaches of rack. On 75th Independence Day, PM Modi had also announced to run 75 Vande Bharat trains. A coach of Vande Bharat Express costs about Rs 5 crores. Equipped with LHB technology, lighting to safety related items are being called from countries like France and Japan in its rack. The supply of goods remained closed during the corona period, due to which the racks of Vande Bharat Express could not be ready soon. This is complete air condition train with wi-fi facility. There is 32 inch screen in all coaches giving information to the passengers. This is one of the premium train of country. The train has self-propelled engine and automatic door. The train has 16 coaches and revolving chairs.
