Four poachers arrested for trying to sell endagered species ‘Pangolin’

A team of Forest Department of Waraseoni and STF Jabalpur arrested four persons who were attempting to sell the endangered species (Schedule 3) Pangolin at Mangejhari. After interrogation all the four accused were presented before Court and Court ordered to send them to jail. Some 3-4 accused involved in this case are absconding.
Some person at village Mangejhari were trying to sell the Pangolin. Waraseoni forest team did not had any information about it but STF Jabalpur got this information through informers. Then soon Jabalpur team reached Waraseoni. Since last 3 days STF team was trying to nab the accused. Through help of Waraseoni forest team, STF set network and proposed the poachers for buying Pangolin from them. After long discussion the accused agree to sell the Pangolin in Rs 7.5 lakh. Then the poachers informed the spot where they would hand over the Pangolin.
STF, Jabalpur and forest team cordoned the area and when four accused reached the spot with the Pangolin, they were arrested. The arrested poachers are Yash Lal, son of Hukumchand Katare age 37 years resident of Mangejhari, Rajesh son of Babulal, age 41 years resident of Mangejheri, Anantram son of Ramdas Bahetwar, age 35 years resident of Balaghat, Divyanshu son of Uday Lal Jhariya, age 30 years, resident of Balaghat.
The accused confessed that 3-4 person are also involved in this poaching. This raid was done by forest team including Forest Guard Membhani Bisen, Ravindra Ladkar, Lokesh Tembrekar, Shailendra Jagjivan, Deependra Singh Parmar, Sunil Mandavi, Tarachand Dongre, Mahesh Bisen, Vinay bhanvare, Umesh Shukla Rajendra Singh.
