DATTA Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (DMIHER), Deemed to be University, will be organising various events from April 13–15. These events include a book launch (International launch of textbook of Bioethics, Medical Ethics and Health Law in Medical and Health Profession Education). This was revealed by Dr Vedprakash Mishra, Pro Chancellor, DMIHER (DU) while speaking at a press conference on Wednesday.

Dr Mishra further said that the book will be useful for the teachers, UG and PG students of medical and health profession education to spread the awareness about the Bioethics, deal with important concepts like informed consent, communications etc., and application of medical ethics while practising health care. “A Centre for Global Network for Bioethics and Medical and Health Professions Education will also be inaugurated,” Dr Mishra said.

Apart from this, a 3T-IBHSc faculty development programme in Teaching Bioethics in Medical and Health Profession Education will also be held. It is an accredited evidence-based faculty development training programme in teaching bioethics in medical and health professional education. Around 40 to 45 faculty will be trained in this workshop.

The venue for all of these events will be Shri Datta Meghe Auditorium of Datta Meghe Medical College at Wanadongri. It will be held from 11 am onward, from April 13 to 15. A large number of dignitaries were present at the press conference.
