Hackathon ‘Kavach-2023’ kicks-off at GGITS

Innovation Cell of MoE, AICTE in collaboration with Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) (MHA) and Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (14C) (MHA) have launched ‘Kavach-2023’, a unique national Hackathon to identify innovative concepts and technology solutions for addressing the security challenges of the 21st century faced by our Intelligence agencies. The event was held at Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Sciences Jabalpur.
Kavach-2023 is conceived to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualise ideas and framework in the domain of cyber security using artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, automation, big data and cloud computing. This competition will be held in two phases, out of which the first internal phase was held in college and the second phase grand finale will be held outside.
In this sequence, Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Sciences Jabalpur has organised an internal ‘Kavach 2023’ competition in which more than 71 teams have submitted new age women safety app, phishing detection solution, Obscenity Blocking Solution, Advanced ANPR & FRS Solution, Dark Web Crawler, Span Alert System, Malware Analysis Tool, Advanced CCTV Analysis Solution, RAM Dump Collection Tool, Civil Defense App for Cyber Crimes Protection, Fund Trail Analysis Tool, Ground Personnel Tools for Monitoring, Chat Messenger Decryption Tool.
Out of 71 teams, 15 teams were selected for the next round by jury members including Professor Pankaj Jain, Professor Kamaljeet Singh Kalsi, Professor Shiv Kumar Tiwari from GGCT Jabalpur. The entire programme was organised by GGITS with the support of Principal, Dr. Ravindra V Kshirsagar, HoD, Computer Science and Engineering, Dr. Ashok Verma and the entire Computer Science staff. Management members including Rajneet Jain, Pankaj Goyal, Apoorva Singhai and Vishesh Jain graced the event with their presence.
