Several State, Central Govt employees hold ‘Pension Samvaidhanik March’ against New Pension Scheme

A large numbers of State and Central Government employees attended ‘Pension Samvaidhanik March’ to revoke National Pension Scheme, on Sunday. The march was simultaneously organized throughout the country under National Pension Revoking Campaign. The march was taken out from Gole Bazar and concluded at Clock Tower with handing over a memorandum addressing the Prime Minister and Chief Minister.
Through the memorandum, government employees informed that Old Pension Scheme is their constitutional right provided by the Government of India under Pension Act 1972 but the current Government brought a resolution for stopping the Old Pension Scheme since January 1, 2004. The Government has introduced National Pension Scheme which is based on market investment scheme. National Pension Scheme has no guarantee of providing fixed pension to the retired government employees which insecure their future after the retirement.
During the march, Regional President of Madhya Pradesh, Parmanand Deria, Divisional President, Sandeep Verma, Women’s President, Manisha Soni, Ordnance Factories’ members Ram Bhuvan Patel, Anil Gupta, Birbal, Amit Chandel , Uttam Biswas, Rohit Yadav, Ajay Rajak, members from Railway and several other government departments were present.
