Celebrating its centenary year, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University’s Physical Education and Sports Department along with SAI’s Khelo India Coaching Centre (KICC) felicitated Padma Shri Bhiku (Dada) Idate.

Idate was recently conferred with Padma award for his social work for nomadic and unprivileged citizens of the country. Itade said he was surprised on being conferred with the Padma award. “Keep on working for the betterment of society and never run behind any person gains,” said Idate.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor of RTMNU Dr Sanjay Dudhe presided over. Padma Shri and former Member of Parliament Dr Vikas Mahatme was the chief guest on the occasion. Former director of Physical Education and Sports Department Dr Dhananjay Welukar, Director Dr Sharad Suryawanshi, Senate Member Waman Turke were also prominently present on the occasion.
