Tuesday’s State BJP core committee meeting will mull over preventing strategy to internal sabotage and decide the political fate of some of the ministers. Sources suggest that decisions and directions were taken at a recently held meeting of BJP leaders and RSS office bearers at Indore was among the main agenda. After rounds of meetings between Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, some of the Cabinet ministers, party state office-bearers, Union ministers and national office-bearers from the state, head of all morchas and district incharges in recent past, this meeting is being held in the capital. Following the main organisation’s instructions, a 14-member team of ministers was constituted whom the state unit entrusted with the task to meet and mollify disgruntled leaders across the state. Needless to mention that ex-MP Makahansingh Solanki and Rao Yadavendra Singh Yadav (son of ex-MLA Rao Deshraj Singh Yadav) joined the Congress last month . In this meeting, their inputs will be discussed in detail. In addition to this, it is being learnt that another team has gathered information about ministers' performance. Both the matters have now been ready and were tabled in the core committee meeting.
In an election year, it is seen as crucial where discussion on poor performance of ministers and how the Government will proceed with the issues of education, labour and most importantly farmers, were discussed according to the highly placed sources. To enhance the Government’s image, RSS leaders are said to have told the CM and his team that pro-citizen schemes must reach beneficiaries and need to put more focus on youth, labourer and farmers. National Joint General Secretary Bharatiya Janata Party Shiv Prakash, a RSS Pracharak, a few days ago visited Bhopal and held discussion with Chief Minister. It was followed by BJP’s Indore meet.
Head of RSS affiliates-Vidyarthi Parishad, Majdoor Sangh and Kisan Majdoor Sangh met with ministers in presence Shiv Prakash in Bhopal. Where Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP State Unit Head V D Sharma and General Secretary, State Unit, Hitanand Sharma were present. Education policy, new forms of agriculture and curriculum were discussed. Appointment of Chairperson, State Youth Council, Nishsant Khare is also seen in the light of part's focus on youth. For several years the post was lying vacant. But at a time when only a few months are left for Assembly elections, this appointment has been made. “BJP’s position in contemporary politics in comparison to other political parties in the state, amid announcement of entry of other political parties like Bhim Sena, JAYAS, AAP etc. and the party’s ongoing programmes for tribal development, were also being discussed here," said a BJP leader. “Along with strategies to reach out to the beneficiaries of welfare schemes run by the BJP government, other strategies related to key campaigns, controversies related to transparency in the functioning of the government, were also discussed” he added.
With only a few months left for the Assembly elections, Chief Minister and some of his Cabinet colleagues are said to have received constructive criticism by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the recent past. Party insider told us that meetings were being held to assess the progress on implementation of RSS advice by concerned government machinery including ministers concern to labour, farmers and education departments. Party is paying more focus on the Chambal-Gwalior region. Notably, farmers issue once again evoked in the State unlike last elections when Congress took on the issue and promised loan waive to farmers, this time BJP can’t afford to make farmers annoyance.
Senior leaders from RSS met with Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel and Brajendra Pratap Singh. After Mahakumbh at Gwalior, where Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Jyotiraditya Scindia were present, this meeting holds much significance.
