Bharatiya Janata Party State President and a Member of Parliament Arun Sao stated the 74,000 applications for unemployment allowance are exposing the claims of unemployment rate in the nation. Arun Sao said despite all the complicated terms and conditions, 74000 applications were submitted and 83 per cent of them are still unapproved. This is a fresh example of the Congress Government’s political pretence on unemployment allowance.
BJP State President Sao informed applications for unemployment allowances have crossed 74000 despite many difficult terms and conditions such as the entire family must be unemployed, 12th pass, registered at least 2 years ago and the family’s annual income should be higher than 2.50 lakh etc. Sao stated firstly the Congress Government didn’t give jobs and now the deceit on unemployment allowance has come to the fore. Referring to the Congress’s election manifesto, Sao said Congress had promised 10 jobs or unemployment allowance, but the youths got neither.
Minister T S Singhdeo had in front of the then National President Rahul Gandhi and State In-charge P L Punia informed that Rs 3000 crore would be provisioned for a stipend or unemployment allowance in the Budget. Congress Government siphoned Rs 15,000 crore of youths in five years. There are around 18 lakh registered jobless youths in Chhattisgarh, claimed Arun Sao.
