As the Karnataka Assembly elections date is nearing, the Bharatiya Janata Party is gearing up by bringing some of its highest-ranked leaders to campaign. Two senior leaders from Madhya Pradesh, BJP Unit head and Member of Parliament, Vishnu Datt Sharma and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will campaign in Karnataka for the organisation.
The (BJP) has released a list of star campaigners, which includes names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and others for Karnataka Assembly Elections. 2023. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, the media incharge of State, told that BJP State head will be in Karnataka for two days where he will campaign in support of party candidate on April 25 and 26. He will campaign for Malleshwaram seat. A letter in this regard had been sent by the BJP to the Election Commission of India. In addition to this, Shivraj Singh Chouhan is also in the list of chief ministers in BJP-ruled states and Union ministers. The Karnataka current Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis too are on the list of star campaigners. Voting for the 224-member Karnataka Assembly will take place on May 10, and the results will be declared on May 13. Malleshwaram is an Assembly constituency in Karnataka.
In 2018, Dr Ashwath Narayan of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat by defeating Kengal Shreepadharenu of the Indian National Congress with a margin of 54,000 votes. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate D V Sadananda Gowda won from Bangalore North Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 1,47,518 votes by defeating Krishna Byregowda of the Indian National Congress.
