Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is doing a number of innovations under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan 2023 and changing picture of the city. Senior officials and employees of JMC have been toiling hard to add to the beauty of the city through attractive paintings under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner, Swapnil Wankhade. Likewise, the civic body is also carrying out a number of works on the theme of 3 R i.e. Re-use, Re-deduce and Re-cycle. It has developed wall of joy, bag bank, utensil ban, food bank, book bank, best from waste. Innovative works are proving beneficial for needy.
Under 3-R theme, JMC is setting a record of keeping the city clean and beautiful by using all the useless things and objects. Information about the same, Health Officer Bhupendra Singh and Executive Engineer Shailendra Mishra said as per the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Swapnil Wankhade, JMC is leaving no stone unturned to develop and beautify the city on the theme of 3 R. On-going works have started bearing fruits as the beauty of the city has started improving.
For the same, wall of joy, utensil bank, food bank, book bank have been established at 25 major places of the city.
Senior officials further informed that JMC has developed wall of joy (neki ke deewar) at many important places like Ranjhi, ISBT, Gokuldas Dharamshala, Gwarighat, Rampur, Shastri Bridge, Civic Center, Gandhi Bhawan, Adhartal, Krishi Upaj Mandi, Charkhamba, etc. People can donate here anything which can be used by poor and needy.
Officials said the innovative works would surely improve the ranking of the city in Swachh Survekshan Abhiyan.
