Superintendent of Police, Tushar Kant Vidyarthi has declared cash reward of Rs 5,000 for apprehending or giving information about the accused of loot and attempting murder of a guard. Unidentified persons conducted loot of Rs 65,000 at Vibhanshi petrol pump and attacked a private guard with an axe at Sunvani village under the jurisdiction of Majholi police station, on Tuesday morning.
According to Majholi police, a man Gaurav Shrivas (30), a resident of Kakardevi village lodged a complaint that he is working as manager at Vibhanshi petrol pump since July 20, 2020. Owner of petrol pump is Anil Jain, a resident of Jabalpur while Sanjay Tiwari, Amit Rajput, Raja Dahia and Chhotu Bhumia are working at the petrol pump. On April 3 evening, he kept the cash collection of Monday Rs 65,000 and old amount of Rs 3.54 lakh in a drawer at his office. In the evening, Chhotu Bhumia informed him on phone that he was going for some work and took leave. Raja Dahia and his father Ganesh Dahia were on duty as guards in the night. On Tuesday morning, Raja Dania informed him on phone that unidentified persons attacked his father and looted cash from the office.
Receiving information, he immediately reached the petrol pump and witnessed that window glasses were damaged and
clothes with blood mark in the office. He checked and found that the thieves took away Rs 65,000 cash from the upper drawer but another cash of Rs 3.54 lakh was safe in another drawer. Learning about the incident, a police team reached the spot and started investigation into the case. In the CCTV footages, police saw that an unidentified man attacked the guard with an axe and escaped after looting cash of Rs 65,000. The injured guard was rushed at Government Hospital Majholi where he was given primary treatment and referred to Jabalpur for further treatment of his critical injury.
SDOP, Sihora, Bhawana Maravi and Additional SP (Rural), Shivesh Singh Baghel reached the spot and started investigation into the case. Taking a serious note into the case, SP, TK Vidyarthi has declared cash reward of Rs 5,000 for apprehending or giving any information about the accused and constituted a team to identify and apprehend the accused.
