BHARATIYA Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Vidarbha Pradesh will be organising the Labour 20 Meet (L20) under the G20 initiative on May 11 at Hotel Tuli International, Sadar from 3 pm. This was disclosed by Neeta Choubey, National Vice President of BMS while speaking at a press conference held here on May 9.
Choubey further said that the L20 Meet will be inaugurated by Arti Ahuja, Secretary, Labour and Employment, Government of India. Suresh Khade, Minister of Labour, Government of Maharashtra will be the chief guest. Whereas, Ravindra Himte, General Secretary of BMS and Prof Santosh Mehrotra, Visiting Prof. University of Bath, London will be guests of honour. Nilesh Sathe, former IRDAI Member, ex Executive Director of LIC of India and B Surendran, Organising Secretary, BMS will be present. Apart from this, more than 100 representatives from employers, employees and Government organisations including major trade unions like AITUC, CITU, Railways, LIC etc., will be present. The meeting will discuss three issues like Financing Social Security, International Migration of Workers Portability of Social Security Fund and Widening the Horizons: Providing Social Security to All Informal Workers, Choubey said.
Suhas Tiwari, BMS Vice President of Nagpur District, Varsha Patwardhan, IWO President, BMS Vidarbha Pradesh, Gajanan Gatlewar, General Secretary, BMS Vidarbha Pradesh, Neeta Choubey, National Vice President of BMS, Shilpa Deshpande, President, BMS Vidarbha Pradesh, Ashish Murthy, Treasurer of Akhil Bharatiya Khadan Mazdoor Sangh, Vinod Bhalerao, President of Vidyut Karmachari Mazdoor Sangh were seated on the dais. Suresh Choudhary, Media Incharge of BMS Vidarbha Pradesh was also present.
