The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recently conducted raids at the premises of M/s Delight Chemical Pvt Ltd, located at Mauza Ganeshpur at Zari taluka in Yavatmal. During the raid, the firm was found engaged in manufacturing of building lime class F packed in PP bags of 10 kg and 25 kg capacity marked with product name as ‘Sparkling white wash’, Brand name – ‘SURYA CEM’ with BIS Certification mark popularly known as Mark and without having valid license from BIS.
The team comprised of Piyush Wasekar, Joint Director, Sandesh Gokanwar, Deputy Director, and Prashant Sakharkar, Graduate Engineer, found stock of 64 bags of 10 kg capacity and 20 bags of 25 kg capacity filled with building lime, marked with BIS Certification mark. The material was available in dispatch section of the factory. Moreover stock of around 8,000 empty bags of 25 kg capacity and 5,000 empty bags of 5 kg capacity with BIS Certification mark was also found in the factory premises.
The raid was conducted under the guidance of Hemant Ade, Director and Head, Nagpur Branch office, BIS.
Further appropriate legal actions as per the provisions of BIS Act 2016 shall be initiated against Delight Chemical Pvt Ltd, and its partners / proprietors.
