Under Mukhymantri Kanyadaan Vivah Yojana, a mass marriage was organised at Jaisinagar Janpad Panchayat area. In this mass marriage, 500 couples tied the nuptial knot. The chief guest on the occasion was Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput. He blessed the newly married couple. Each of the bride was given away cheque of Rs 49,000 Minister Rajput showered petals on the families of the bride and bridegroom and the new couples. Former District Panchayat President Savita Singh Rajput gifted saree to each of the bride and bless them, she also sang the traditional wedding songs on the occasion.
Collector Deepak Arya and other officers attended the mass marriage and took stock of the arrangements. They also blessed the newly married couple. The arrangement for stay of the families of bride and groom was done at the Mandi campus of Jaisinagar. All facilities were arranged for their comfortable stay.
Addressing gathering Minister Rajput informed that Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana was started by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan so that daughters of poor family are married in best of the manner and their parent does not have to worry for the marriage expenses. State government has decided to give cheque of Rs 49,000 to the bride which she can use to buy domestic articles or can deposit it in her bank account. On the occasion Janpad President Brijendra Singh, Dhiraj Singh Auraiya Gudda Shukla, Sahab Singh, Raju Badonia, Munna Pandey and large number of family members of bride and bridegroom, were present.
