A Nagpur-Pune IndiGo flight had to be landed immediately after take off at Nagpur’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airpot on Monday after a bird hit it. The afternoon flight number 63135 took off from Nagpur for Pune during which, a bird hit the aircraft and it was landed back at Nagpur airport. There were 150 passengers and four crew members. Though the company claimed that the aircraft developed some technical snag owing to bird hit due to which it had to be landed, according to sources, the aircraft did have some technical problem earlier. It had come from Pune to Nagpur carrying some technical issue in the engine.
After the landing of the flight, passengers raised their voices and lodged complaints. Many passengers had connecting journey from Pune onwards. Considering people’s disappointment and their angry mood, IndiGo finally arranged passengers’ journey to Pune by its own aircraft that came from Mumbai. This Pune-bound flight took off at 3.30 pm and passengers heaved a sigh of relief.
