SENSATION prevailed at Sharda Chowk area when a woman was shot dead at her house situated in Koshta Mohalla under the jurisdiction of Garha police station late night on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Saraswati Choube (45), a resident of Koshta Mohalla, Sharda Chowk. SHO of Garha police station, Rakesh Tiwari informed that police received information of a firing incident at Koshta Mohalla in Sharda Chowk area. Learning about the incident, he along with police staff reached the spot where a woman Roshni Shrivastava (23), native of Sainik Society Danav Baba area informed that she is currently living as tenant for past three months at the residence of his sister Saraswati Choube in Koshta Mohalla and is working as maid. On Monday night, she was working at the kitchen when she witnessed Ramkrishna alias Ramkishan Lodhi, who earlier lived as tenant at the residence of Saraswati Choube, arrived on motorcycle and entered the room of Saraswati.
 
Soon after, Ramkrishna and Saraswati Choube came out from house and were talking near entrance gate. Suddenly, Ramkrishna Lodhi shot a bullet at Saraswati Choube who fell down on the floor and Ramkrishna managed to escape from Hearing the loud noise of firing, she reached the spot and witnessed that Saraswati was bleeding profusely. She rushed at the residence of Girja Tiwari and informed about the incident with her sister. Girja along with other residents reached the spot and found that Saraswati Choube was dead. Senior police officers were informed and FSL team reached the spot for scientific investigation into the case.
 
Taking a serious note into the case, Superintendent of Police, Tusharkant Vidyarthi (IPS) constituted a team under the supervision of CSP, Cant/Gohalpur, Akhilesh Gaur, FSL Officer, Dr Neeta Jain, Additional SP (City South), Sanjay Kumar Agrawal for further investigation into the case and apprehending the accused. Garha police have registered a case under Section 302 of IPC while police team led by SHO, Rakesh Tiwari started a rigorous search for apprehending the accused
