Election preparations: FLC workshop for EVM and VVPAT machines held

The FLC workshop for EVM and VVPAT machines was conducted at Hotel Kalchuri Residency for the upcoming assembly elections, on Thursday. Collectors, District Election Officers, Deputy District Election Officers and EVM Supervisors from 21 districts across four divisions of the State participated in the one-day workshop. Anupam Rajan, Chief Electoral Officer of the State inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp. He emphasized the purpose and significance of the workshop in his address. During the workshop, S Sundar Rajan, the EVM Director from the Election Commission of India, delivered a power point presentation on the technical and administrative security of EVM and VVPAT machines.
Additionally, O P Sahni, Additional Secretary of the Election Commission, Lalit Mittal and Satish Kumar, Additional Chief Electoral Officers and Pramod Shukla, State Deputy Chief Electoral Officer also gave detailed information about preparation of EVM and VVPAT machines for the ensuing Assembly elections.
Trainers from the Election Commission also provided hands-on training for EVM and VVPAT machines during the workshop. Collectors, District Election Officers, Deputy District Election Officers and EVM Supervisors from the following 21 districts including Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Umaria, Anuppur, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Katni, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Dindori, Chhindwara, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Niwadi, Panna and Damoh participated in the FLC workshop.
