SAVARKAR maane Tatva,
Savarkar maane Tark,
Savarkar maane Tarunya,
Savarkar maane Tej,
Savarkar maane Tyaag,
Savarkar maane Tap...
An intense emotion pierces through the night sky even
as the barrage of stimulated eloquence from former Prime
Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee opens up newer, glistening
layers around the great life ofVeerVinayak Damodar Savarkar.
Moved by the eminence of the personality of Veer Savarkar,
Atalji continues to peel off more layers, uncovering the magnificent persona of the‘Rashtra Purush’ who conceptualised
a nation centred on the foundation built through peace,
co-operation, knowledge, bravery and transparency. There
is a judicious striking of similarity between Savarkar and
elements (Tatva), arguments (Tark), youth (Tarunya), glory (Tej), sacrifice (Tyaag) and penance (Tap). These qualities, elaborated by Atalji, define Veer Savarkar.
These qualities judge the great man. These qualities call for total reverence to the great son of the soil.
Veer Savarkar, the epitome of a strong will and nationalist values, is a hero who goes beyond the political battles
fought over his name and legacy. His impeccable contribution to the fight against antagonist, brutal and colonial
forces is not a thing to be seen through parochial lenses. It
needs to be understood from the point of view of an unwavering freedom fighter, whose fight for India’s independence remains exemplary.
The qualities that built the dedicated life need to be respected for the sweat and blood put
in by an entire family whose dream centred only around
‘Abhinav Bharat’ -- a nation free from the baggage of social
injustice and dogmatism. His idea of ‘Hindutva’ needs be
hailed, discussed, deliberated and implemented by all for
breaking the shackles of following a particular religion and
doing away with the confined notions of communalism
and skewed secularism.
It is time the social reformer, the social moulder, the visionary leader, the forward thinker, the no-nonsense fighter is
celebrated for the amazing qualities he practised in a life
that was, is and will remain extraordinary. It is time the
great son of the nation, whose idea of a compassionate
India, is freed from the narrow concepts of politics.
It is time Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is
celebrated as an ideology -- progressive and unbiased.
