National Investigation Agency (NIA) Special Court in Bhopal awarded seven days remand of three accused to the police for further investigation into the case of their connections with terror module, till June 3. The three accused have been identified as Syed Mamoor Ali, son of Azhar Ali, a resident of Ghantaghar in Omti, Mohammed Adil Khan, son of Kadir Khan, a resident of Railway Colony, near Indira Market in Civil Line and Mohammed Shahid Jilani, a resident of Sindhi Colony near Ghantaghat in Omti.
It may be noted that these three accused were arrested in a joint operation of NIA and Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) during 13 simultaneous overnight raids in Jabalpur in the intervening night of May 26 and 27. On Saturday noon, NIA brought the apprehended men to Bhopal and produced them before NIA Special Court Bhopal in the evening where accused were sent on 7 days police remand till June 3.
Sources informed that during the raids at residences of accused, NIA and MP ATS seized huge cache of ammunitions, firearms, sharp edged weapons, digital devices and documents with objectionable contents. One of the arrested, Mohammed Adil Khan was under radar of investigation agencies since more than 10 months for his connections and involvement in anti-national activities associated with ISIS propaganda by recruiting youngsters and raising funds for anti-national conspiracy of spreading terror in India. Week-long remand of anti-national activists likely to reveal major terror conspiracies and disclosing the names of big fishes engaged in anti-national activities.
