Principal Secretary (Energy), Sanjay Dubey has termed the quality electricity supply, consumers satisfaction, revenue recovery, transparency and energy audit are top priorities for power distribution companies throughout the State. Everybody from lineman to Chief Engineer should shoulder their responsibilities to bring positive results.
PS (Energy), Sanjay Dubey was addressing a review meeting of power companies at State Electricity headquarters, Shakti Bhawan, the other day. Addressing the meeting, Dubey directed the officers for rendering consumers services as per citizen charger and providing new electricity connections to consumers within 3-days of fulfilling all the formalities.
Officers were also instructed for ensuring above 90 per cent billing efficiency and 100 per cent revenue collection efficiency and resolving the complaints of CM Helpline on priority basis. Target for the year 2023-24 was set and discussed in details during the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Energy Secretary and Chairman of Power Distribution Companies, Raghuraj Rajendran said that field staff should be vigilant for checking power pilferage while regular maintenance of transformers may check the rate of transformer failure. He also directed the officers for regular monitoring of distribution transformers.
During the meeting, MP Poorva Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, MD, Anay Dwivedi presented the progress report of company and informed that RDSS Scheme will curtail technical losses. New sub-stations under RDSS Scheme are being prepared while cabling of 11 and 33 KV lines and installation of new transformers is being carried out.
On the occasion, Energy Department, OSD, Neeraj Agrawal, Shailendra Saxena, Corporate Office’s Neeta Rathore, CGM (HR&Admin), CGM, Sanjay Bhagwatkar, Ashok Dhurve, Regional Chief Engineer, Arvind Choube, Jabalpur Region’s K L Verma, Sagar’s Devendra Kumar, Rewa’s D K Pandey, Shahdol’s CE (Vigilance), G D Vasnik, P K Kshatriya, S K Chadhar, A K Paraste, SEs and EEs were present.
