SHREYAS Bahadure, a specially-abled swimmer of Aqua Sports Club, brought laurels to the city and state by winning gold medals at the 1st Down Syndrome National Games-2023 organised by Down Syndrome Federation of India in Secunderabad. Representing Maharashtra in swimming, Shreyas won two gold medals in 25 metres and 50 metres freestyle in boys 17 to 22 years age group.
Earlier also, Shreyas has won several medals at State and National events and brought laurels to the city and state.
Shreyas is the regular member of Aqua Sports Club taking swimming training under the able guidance of senior coach Dr Pravin Lamkhade (NSNIS, Patiala) and ASCA Level-5 coach Vishal Chandurkar.
Aqua Sports Club President Mohan Nahatkar, Secretary Mangesh Gadre, Director Midland Sports Prashant Ugemuge, Vice-President Operations, Midland Sports, Preeti Lanjekar, Manager, Operations, Midland Sports Ashwin Janbandhu, parents of Aqua Sports Club swimmers and sports lovers congratulated Shreyas and wished him luck for his future endeavour.
