The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has on Monday orgnaised a programme at Manas Bhawan auditorium to provide benefits of Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana and street vendor schemes to beneficiaries. On the occasion, live telecast of the Mahapanchayat of street vendors, held in the State capital, was also displayed on big screens. Public representatives along with beneficiaries watched the live telecast of the programme, chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
During the programme in the city, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh, MLA Ashok Rohani, Dr Jitendra Jamdar and others expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for their assistance to the poor and needy during the Covid-19 pandemic. They highlighted the positive impact of the Central and State Government schemes, which have benefited thousands of families and enabled the impoverished to earn their livelihoods with dignity. The public representatives emphasised that the Government has also facilitated street vendors in earning their daily bread in a respectable manner. They also extended their best wishes to all the beneficiaries present at the event.
Addressing Mahapanchayat of street vendors in Bhopal, CM Chouhan declared that no Municipal Corporation or Police officials would confiscate hand carts or similar items. He also urged all vendors to conduct their businesses with self-respect by operating within designated hawker zones, vegetable markets and other authorized locations. Additionally, he revealed that vendors without funds for hand carts would be provided with subsidized carts under a government scheme. The CM acknowledged the numerous public welfare schemes initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the country's poor. He praised the Prime Minister's efforts in launching relief schemes for all sections of society during the Covid-19 period, ensuring that everyone benefited and could earn a living with dignity. Expressing gratitude to PM Modi, CM Chouhan highlighted that whenever there is an emergency or crisis, the Prime Minister consistently extends a helping hand to all sections of society.

He emphasized the need for their welfare, upliftment, and bringing about a social revolution.
