Cyclone ‘Mocha’ to bring more rains in MP

First week of May is over but maximum temperature could not touch 40 degrees Celsius in Madhya Pradesh. Weather Department said that mercury is not likely to soar in the State for few more weeks. According to Meteorology Department, cyclone ‘Mocha’ will be rising from Bay of Bengal from May 7 to 9. For next four days, rainfall and wind will again hit normal life in Madhya Pradesh. On Saturday night, it rained heavily in Ujjain and Ratlam.
Drizzle and light showers was recorded in some parts of Indore, Bhopal, Sehore, Betul, Dewas, Ratlam, Ujjain, Shajapur and Agar. Weather scientists said that there are chances of lightning in few cities. However, there is no forecast of hailstorm. The Weather Department has raised alert for lightning stroke in few cities of state. Cyclone had its effects in Bengal and Odisha on Sunday. Waves of the cyclone will be increasing on May 8 and 9. Mercury will be rising in the State after May 15. However, North West India to Central India, heat waves will not be extending. Eastern part of the State will be recording heat stroke.
Weather scientists said that there is no forecast for the month of June yet. They said there are chances of monsoon arrival in Kerala on June 1 and then it will be touching Rajasthan western part on July 8. If any cyclone rises from Arabian Sea or Bay of Bengal, pre-monsoon showers will reach Madhya Pradesh. Team is still making calculation of monsoon arrival. On Sunday, it was sunshine in Bhopal since morning hours. Temperature was changed from afternoon hours as partial clouds were there. There was minor changes in maximum and minimum temperature. Day temperature was recorded as 37 degrees Celsius and night temperature was recorded around 25 degrees Celsius. Temperature has increased by 5 degrees in many cities on Sunday. While Raisen recorded five degrees rise in day temperature, Bhopal recorded 4.7 degrees rise and temperature settled at 36.7 degrees Celsius. Ratlam and Narsinghpur recorded highest temperature as 39 degrees Celsius and Pachmarhi recorded lowest temperature as 30.8 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 36.7 degrees Celsius and minimum 24.7 degrees Celsius. Indore recorded maximum temperature as 35.2 degrees Celsius and minimum 24.6 degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded maximum temperature as 38.8 degrees Celsius and minimum 23 degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature as 36.4 degrees Celsius and minimum 24.0 degrees Celsius.
