Jawahar Ratna presented to Dr Marothia, Dr Tiwari

 

 

Dr Satya Prakash Tiwari, former Vice-Chancellor, Swami Keshavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University and former Deputy Director General (Education and Crop Science), ICAR, and Dr Dinesh Marothia, Chairman, Indian Society of Agriculture Economics, Mumbai were honoured with JNKVV Start Alumnis Samman ‘Jawahar Ratna 2022’. The felicitation ceremony was organised at VC meeting hall at Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University in gracious presence of Vice-Chancellor, JNAU, Dr Pramod Kumar Mishra.

Both Dr Tiwari and Dr Marothia, ex-agricultural students of JNAU, were felicitated by applying tilak, presenting a shawl, shree-phal and Jawahar Ratna Award. Both the dignitaries shared rich experiences they obtained while pursuing their education in the university and appealed everyone to perform their duties with all positivity keeping the university’s progress and development in mind. It may be mentioned that born in 1947, Dr Tiwari completed his graduation and post-graduation degree from JNAU in 1969 and 1972, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. in Genetics from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi in 1976.

Similarly, Dr Marothia completed his graduation in Agriculture from JNAU in 1969 and post-graduation from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar in 1971 and later on, obtained his Ph.D. IN Agriculture and Natural Resource Economy from Alberta University, Alberta Canada in 1981. The programme was conducted by Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Amit Sharma while Director Education, Dr Abhishek Shukla proposed a vote of thanks.
