NTPC Mouda concluded the one-month long ‘Girl Empowerment Mission’ by organising a ceremony recently. The aim of this programme is to focus on the holistic development of a girl child and making them self dependent and a well-informed citizen of the society. The one-month residential programme focused on basics of Maths, Science, English etc. along with giving training for self-defence, yoga, dance, music, drama and so on. On this occasion, A K Manohar, Head of Project, while addressing the gathering encouraged the girls and wished them a bright future.

 

A cultural programme was also presented by the children during the event. On coming to NTPC Mouda, these girls got a chance to hone their skills for the first time, which increased their confidence and a positive change could also be seen in their personality. On this occasion, A V Shanti, President Samrudhi Mahila Samiti distributed books to the children. SDM Mouda, Tehsildar Mouda, NTPC employees, others were also present.
