Traders are job creators: Gadkari

ADDRESSING the Bharatiya Janata Party Vyapari Samvad Sammelan held in the city on Saturday, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that traders are not wealth creators but they are job creators. He urged the traders and entrepreneurs to expand their businesses so that more jobs could be created. “Instead of waiting for others to come here and invest in the region, the traders and entrepreneurs should plan‘big’ and expand their ventures.
 
The Government is ready to support such traders,” he said at the event organised to mark completion of nine years of Prime Minister Narendra Modiled Government at the Centre. Senior BJP leader Ghanshyam Kukreja presided over the function while MLC Pravin Datke was chief guest on the occasion. Former MP Ajay Sancheti, MLA Vikas Kumbhare, former Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari, MLC Girish Vyas, officers of various nationalised banks and party workers were also present. Gadkari further said that there is huge scope for traders in various sectors.
 
“We are planning to develop new state-ofthe-art markets in place of old ones. It will change the face of the city and also take the local businesses to next level,” he added. Gadkari also highlighted the efforts of the party workers and others during the tough phase of COVID-19. Earlier in his address, Sancheti highlighted that people belonging all sections of the society are being benefited by schemes launched by the Modi Government. In his introductory remark, Datke said traders should plan further growth of their businesses. Girdhari Mantri conducted the proceedings of the function while SanjayWadhwani proposed the formal vote of thanks.
