The Lady Entrepreneurs Wing of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA LEW) recently conducted a workshop on “Regulatory Requirements of Drug Manufacturing & Food Processing Industries” in association with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) at VIA Auditorium, Civil Lines. Chief guest of the workshop Viraj Paunikar, Joint Commissioner (Drugs) of FDA, Nagpur guided the participants. He highlighted various financial schemes for ladies, who wish to start their businesses. Dr P M Ballal, Assistant Commissioner of FDA, Nagpur conducted a session on “Regulatory Role of FDA in Drug Manufacturing & Selling Establishments”. He spoke about requirement of licences for manufacturing of drugs. Rohan Shaha, Assistant Commissioner (Food) of FDA, Nagpur gave a presentation on ‘Role of FDA in Food Processing Industries’.

 

Earlier, Poonam Lala, Chairperson VIALEW, welcomed the guests. VIA President, Vishal Agrawal, Girdhari Mantri, Founder Chairperson - Sarala Kamdar, Advisory Committee - Sarita Pawar, Madhubala Singh, Past Chairpersons - Chitra Parate, Anjali Gupta, Anita Rao, Vandana Sharma, Shachi Mallick, Reeta Lanjewar, Vice Chairpersons - Indu Kshirsagar, Yogita Deshmukh, PRO - Poonam Gupta, Past Chairperson of VIA LEW, Y Ramani, Amandeep Kaur Sehmi, and others were present.
