Nagpur Flying Club gets trainer aircraft

Nagpur Flying Club (NFC) has got Cessna 172R trainer aircraft. Vijayalakshmi Bidari, Divisional Commissioner, flagged off the four-seater aircraft on Wednesday in presence of NFC staff and other officials. At present, total 40 trainees including 20 through Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute (Mahajyoti) and 20 private individuals are being trained at NFC. During the training period, the trainees are required to complete mandatory flying hours. For this, NFC has total four aircraft in its fleet. Of these, three are two-seaters and Cessna 172R is four-seater.
Since 2017, Cessna 172R was not in service of NFC due to technical reasons. It took some years for the technical issues to be sorted out. Finally, on Wednesday, the aircraft joined NFC fleet. NFC is run by Maharashtra Government and it trains students from Vidarbha region of the State as well as Central Indian region in aircraft flying. Bidari flagged off the aicraft on Wednesday at the Nagpur Flying Club hangar in the area of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport here. Deepali Motiyele, Managing Director of NFC; Captain S Ezhilarasan, Deputy Chief Flight Instructor, were present prominently on this occasion apart from the trainees. Bidari obtained the information about Cessna 172R and also paid a visit to the NFC hangar. She also inspected training centre, aircraft repairs unit etc.
