Health Secretary assures early resolution to CGSKS demands

SECRETARY Health Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi assured of early resolution to the demands of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Swasthya Karmchari Sangh (CGSKS) in a meeting of convened at Mantralaya, Nava Raipur on Tuesday.
The CGSKS has announced of going for an indefinite agitation against their demands from July 4. Secretary Health had an important meeting with the office bearers of the CGSKC on being intimated of the scheduled agitation. A delegation consisting of Patron of CGSKS O P Sharma, Regional President Alok Mishra, General Secretary Ashwani Gurdekar, Deputy Regional President S P Dewangan Raipur District President S S Soni and Ajay Pancharam were present in the meeting.
 
The delegation apprised Secretary Health Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi on their demands which included improvement in pay scale of employees proposed by Health Department, National Health Mission, regularisation of all irregular employees of Health Department, payment of 13 months salary to health workers, withdrawing illegal transfers of 10 medical lab technologists in Bilaspur, stopping recovery of 3\4 increments given to staff nurses, giving promotion opportunities on single posts, providing 10 per cent radiation allowance to the radiotherapy staff, fixing of OPD time to only one shift, giving Level-6 salary to all drivers with heavy license, providing 1500 sq ft land to all third and fourth class health workers to construct their houses and also provide amount to build houses, senior pharmacist to be made nodal pharmacist in each headquarters to made smooth supply of medicines by CGMSC, cancellation of order for RMAs to head the all the staff, punish the officers who have been complained by the union, punishment of officers on complaints by the CGSKA, strict action to be initiated against officers for not providing timely promotions etc.
 
Secretary Health Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi assured the CGSKS delegation for early action on their demands. He also had discussion on the issue with the Director Health Services Jai Prakash Mourya and suggested the CGSKS office bearers to discuss with him as well. The Sangh members called on Director Health Services at Swasthya Bhavan and apprised about their demands and to take appropriate initiative early. Later, in a joint statement, General Secretary of CGSKS Ashwani Gurdekar and Deputy Regional President S P Dewangan said that the health workers are hopeful about the fulfillment of their demands. However, if all the demands are not resolved and fulfilled on time, Sangh will go on indefinite agitation announced from July 4, they added.
