Agricultural Scientists from across the country shared their research activities on Ramtil Project which was reviewed during the group meeting of All India Integrated Research Til and Ramtil Project held recently. The group meeting of All India Integrated Research Til (Sesame) and Ramtil Project, operated under JNAU at Agricultural University, Mandor, Jodhpur Rajasthan the other day. During group meeting, Ramtil Project, Chhindwara was felicitated with Certificate of Excellence Award by the QRT Team constituted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research for its excellent research works between 2017-2021. It may be mentioned that as a result of excellent research works, four significant varieties of Ramtil were developed which include J.N.S.-521, J.N.S.-2015-9, J.N.S.-2016-1115 and J.N.S.-2016-1413.
 
Principal Scientist, Breeder, Dr B N Tiwari, Agronomist, Dr P K Rai and Dr Aruna Devi Ahirwar rendered their active contribution in the excellent research work. This helped Ramtil Project Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh to receive the award. The scientist team concerned with the project conducted a courtesy visit at JNAU’s V-C Office where they met Vice-chancellor, Dr P K Mishra and updated him about the award. Vice-chancellor, Dr Mishra congratulated the team for their excellent research works which highlighted JNAU’s banner at the national platform.
 
In presence of Deputy Director General, Crop Science, Dr PR Sharma, QRT Chairman and former Vice-chancellor, JAU, Dr A R Pathak, ADG, Dr Sanjeev Gupta, Vice-chancellor, Agriculture University, Dr B R Choudhary, Director, Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research IIOR, Dr R K Mathur and Ramtil Project Coordinator, Dr Rajni Tomar, All India Research Ramtil Project Chhindwara was honoured with Best Centre Award-Centre of Excellence.
