Bomb threat creates panic

Reports that bomb was planted in 12618 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Ernakulum Mangla Express created chaos at Misrod and Bhopal stations on Monday. As soon as the information was received, Railway officials were on high alert and a police team swung into action. They started a search operation and investigation. The information was shared by unknown call at the Police Control Room in Bhopal. Government Railway Police (GRP) control room immediately shared the information with Railway Protection Force (RPF) and team was on high alert.
 
The train was passing through Rani Kamalapati Railway Station and then officials kept the train on halt at Misrod station at 17:07 hours. RPF, Commerce and GRP officials, police jawans, bomb rescue team reached the spot. Local administration team was also present on the spot. The train was searched by team properly and no suspected or explosive was found in the train. Later after the clearance, the train departed from Misrod Station at 18:48 hours. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’ Subedar Singh, PRO of Bhopal Railway, said, “The bomb threat call was fake as Police, GRP, RPF teams searched the train properly at Misrod station. Further enquiry in this case is being held by the police team.”
