A 20-year-old Zomato delivery boy was killed as a speeding sand laden dumper hit him on Tuesday night while he was heading for a delivery. The deceased was identified as Rinku Meena, who worked as delivery boy in the company. He was a resident of Rajgarh and lives in rented flat in Jahangirabad. Police said that he was heading towards the delivery location in Piplani when the incident occurred. Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Bharat Meena said that the youth was coming from Ashoka Garden and the dumper was behind his bike. As they reached near Kubey dairy at the Raisen road around 12:10 am the bike was hit from behind by the dumper after which he fell from the bike. Police said that the bike fell on the other side of road while the youth came under the wheels.
 
Both his legs were crushed and police rushed him to hospital with help of ambulance. He succumbed to injuries by 4 am on Wednesday, said the cops. The Piplani police informed his friends who also live with him in Jahangirabad. All of them reached hospital while his family members reached in morning. The body was sent for post-mortem and a case was registered with the police. The accused driver fled the scene leaving the dumper behind. His family members informed police that Meena was earlier working with a private finance company and had recently joined the food delivery firm. The Piplani cops are now searching for the driver.
